Quick Tips your Motherhood Photography Session

Thank you for choosing me to capture these precious moments with your child or children ! To make the most of our time together, here are a few quick tips to help you and your little one(s) to feel comfortable, connected, and ready to have fun:

1. Snack and Hydration:

  • Before the session, make sure your children have had a small snack and some water. This will keep them fuelled and happy throughout the shoot.

2. Clothing:

  • If not choosing to dress with the Client Wardrobe, dress comfortably in outfits that are coordinated but not overly matching. Soft, neutral tones work great. Avoid large logos or busy patterns.
  • For underwear, I recommend nude options. If you have a bra and a strapless bra, that would be fantastic.
  • Opt for loose-fitting clothes for both yourself and your little one to avoid any marks on the skin.

3. Building Connection:

  • The key to beautiful images is the connection between you and your children. During the session, focus on cuddles, kisses, and gentle play. Do what feels natural to get them smiling.
  • Encourage your children to be themselves, whether that's crawling, jumping, or giggling at silly faces.

4. Expect Relaxed Fun:

  • Our sessions are designed to be relaxed and fun. If your baby wants to crawl or your toddler wants to jump or dance, that's totally fine! We'll capture those genuine, joyful moments as they happen.
  • Feel free to bring a favourite toy or comfort item to help your children feel at ease.
  • Music and Movement: If your child enjoys music, we can play some of their favourite songs. This can lead to spontaneous dancing or playful movement, creating delightful and lively moments to capture. Just let me know in advance so I can get the stereo ready.

5. Be Open to Direction:

  • I'll guide you through the session and suggest poses or activities to create beautiful images. I might also make a silly face or use other tricks to make your children laugh. Trust the process, and let's have fun!
